A: The following HIPAA related features can be found in
AppointmentsPRO™ Version
8.0 and AppointmentsES™.

User Based Access Controls
Our products allow you to assign a security profile to
each user. Each user's security profile determines what features and data
points a user has access to in the program. Currently there are approximately
120 individual elements available in each security profile.
Audit Trails
Our products create log files of user activity to allow
you to produce detailed audit trails.
Patient Demographics
Our programs monitor the demographic file of each patient
and make a log entry each time a change is detected. The log entry includes
the date, time, and user that made the change.
Appointment Histories
The activity associated with every appointment is tracked
in an appointment history. This history shows the date, time, user, and
changes that were made to every appointment.
User Logging
Our programs track each time a user is logged into or
out of the program and when and how that user was logged out.
Automatic User Logout
Our products allow you to set a time interval of user
inactivity. Any time a user exceeds that period of inactivity the user
is automatically logged out of the program.
Automatic Password Expiration
Our products allow you to set the maximum number of days
a user password is valid. After the maximum number of days is exceeded,
the program automatically disables the user password.
Password Self-Service
Our products allow users to change their own password
without administrative intervention.
Hide Appointments (Privacy Feature)
Our products allow you to blank all patient data from
the screen with one mouse click. Clicking the button again can restore
the normal view. This assists you in maintaining the privacy of your schedule
in highly trafficked areas of your office.
