Q: Will SpectraSoft sign the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement that my company created?

Created: December 27, 2002

A: In most cases we will not sign a business associate agreement created by another organization. SpectraSoft has a standard Business Associate Agreement that we will sign for any of our customers. Due to the legal nature of these documents it is not financially feasible for our legal counsel to review thousands of these documents. We have made every effort to create a Business Associate Agreement that covers all of the critical elements necessary to meet HIPAA regulations.
