A: Yes. The Security Standards Rule is part of HIPAA's Administrative Simplification Compliance Act. This rule is to establish safeguards for the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of electronic data. The final rule was published on February 20, 2003. Covered entities are required to comply with the provisions of this rule by April 21, 2005.

At the current time we are still analyzing the various components of this latest rule in order to assess how they impact our products. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure that all of our current products meet the requirements of this rule well before the 2005 deadline for compliance.
