& Sullivan
Frost &
Sullivan has presented its 2004 Customer Service Leadership Award
for patient scheduling software solutions to Tempe-based SpectraSoft,
Inc. The award is given to the company that has demonstrated excellence
in customer service leadership within their industry.

Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst Vivek Subramany, “and
has innovatively tailored their products to meet the specific needs
of its users.”
SpectraSoft
creates leading-edge scheduling software. The company initially
focused on physical therapy applications and has since expanded
its product line to meet the needs of healthcare practices, hospitals
and government agencies. SpectraSoft’s “AppointmentsPRO”
series is currently deployed in approximately 3000 clinics, businesses
and agencies, as well as 450 hospitals nationwide.
Frost &
Sullivan performed extensive industry research, held interviews
with experts in the field and conducted surveys of customers. They
awarded the coveted prize to SpectraSoft based on a number of factors,
including the company’s technology and services; responsiveness
to customer needs; time to market with new innovations; and promotional
support.
The research
found that for large enterprises such as at a hospital, SpectraSoft
provided competitive functionality at a cost typically $400,000
to $600,000 less than some of the higher bids in the industry. Additionally,
the research found that SpectraSoft customers are able to get up
to speed using the software within a week’s time – compared
to six to eight weeks for some competing products.
The award was
part of a larger research service conducted on patient scheduling
systems for the healthcare community. In its study Frost & Sullivan’s
Industry Analyst stated, “We believe SpectraSoft will continue
to gain ground in the healthcare industry, by meeting the needs
of their customers with new innovations and by offering a superior
price-value solutions than the larger vendors in the market.”
